“Learning ultimately supports the well-being of the self, the family, the community, the land, the spirits, and the ancestors.” – FPPL

At Dewey School of Dewing we encourage our students to explore and learn from the world around them. Please take a moment to look through our space and learn more about what we offer.

Our school is built with large windows and big beautiful wooden beams. We have solar panel roofing, a water basin that collects rainwater for our garden, and compost bins in the back of the school. All of which the students are actively involved in.

Just outside our school doors we offer a massive vegetable garden and chicken farm that our students have helped build, grow and harvest from. Our students have also planted the many bee pollinating flowers situated around the property.

Inside the school, our classrooms and learning areas are bright and open concept. Our spaces encourage student collaboration and inquiry.

We have a state of the art soccer field and basketball court, as well as a wooden climbing gym.

Our school is situated on the ocean and is surrounded by forest, both environments provide us with unlimited learning opportunities.
